For Australian Yogis:
Please do not attend if you are experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms.
If you live with someone who has COVID-19 then you must follow the NSW Health Self Isolation Guidelines and self-isolate for 7 days. You must also follow the NSW Health Self-Isolation Guidelines for 7 days if you have been notified to do this by NSW Health.
Here are the guidelines: NSW Health COVID-19 self-isolation guideline and support | NSW Government.
If you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 outside of your household, please assess your risk using the table on this web-page: Information for people exposed to COVID-19 | NSW Government.
Consider the nature of your contact with the person with COVID-19 and the risk that you could infect others at the seminar.
For International Yogis:
Our international borders open to fully vaccinated tourists from 21 February, so we are hoping we may have some international guests. Here are more details from the federal government websites:
- Vaccinated travellers | COVID-19 and the border (homeaffairs.gov.au)
- Inbound international travel | Australian Government Department of Health
The above sites explain about proof of vaccination, pre-departure covid test requirements and that you will also need to complete an Australian Travel Declaration.
On arrival, you will have to comply with the Covid rules that are applicable to the State of Australia you are visiting. In this case the State will be New South Wales (NSW). Full details are provided below, please ensure to follow these rules if you would like to attend.
We are only able to accommodate at Balmoral those who have tested negative to Covid. We will make arrangements to assist those Yogis who may test positive and need to self-isolate. One of our generous NSW Yoginis has kindly offered her home to stay for any Yogis who might test positive on arrival and who will then need to self-isolate until they return a negative Rapid Antigen Test.
The Covid rules create some hurdles to jump over, but once you do, the on-site restrictions during the seminar are not too onerous and we will be able to enjoy the time in a relatively normal fashion. Most notably for our purposes, at present:
- Density limits no longer apply
- Singing and dancing will be permitted at all venues, except music festivals

New South Wales Covid Rules:
Fully vaccinated international passengers arriving in NSW must get a COVID-19 rapid antigen test:
- Within 24 hours of arriving in NSW (and can stop self-isolating once they receive a negative result from this test)
- on or after day 6 after arriving in NSW.
People who are not fully vaccinated arriving in NSW from overseas must continue to go into 7-day mandatory quarantine (reducing from the previous 14 days on 21 February).
We will supply Yogis with Rapid Antigen Tests on arrival and for those Yogis staying on the Balmoral property for 6 days or more, we will also supply Rapid Antigen Tests for the compulsory second test as required by the government.
For more details, refer to the attached government pamphlet and the below government website:

You have to register a positive result with the government but not a negative result.
By following our current COVID guidelines, we can all enjoy each other’s company at Balmoral so please come and enjoy!
